If you don't have your handy-dandy scientific (or hex) calculator with you, there are two different calculators available to you on this page, but they work slightly differently. I suggest you experiment with both, then choose one and stick with it.
The first was written by Carl Adler. CLICK HERE to launch Carl Adler's Calculator. You may close other windows and the calculator will remain functioning until you close the calculator window itself.
The other calculator was provided by Rolf Howarth. In this case there are actually two separate
calculators with different keypad layouts, a scientific calculator and one for
logical operations. To switch from scientific to logical display press the 'HEX' key.
To switch back to scientific mode press the 'DEC' key twice (the first press
converts the displayed value from hex to decimal but leaves you in the hex calculator).
You should normally CLICK HERE to launch Rolf Howarth's calculator so a window of the right size is created. Once the calculator appears you may close other browser windows and the calculator will stay around and continue to function.
(If that doesn't work, try going straight to the calculator within this window.)
