The Motion of a Simple Pendulum

Description

A pendulum is allowed to oscillate in an accelerating elevator as shown in the animation (position is in meters and time is in seconds). 

Question

What is the direction and the magnitude of the acceleration of the elevator.

Write up a lab report explaining the theory involved, the measurements you made, and your conclusion.
