What is the Doppler Effect? (Definition)
In the Applet above, the source of the wave is the red dot. The wavefronts are the expanding circles and the wavelength is the distance between the circles. If you were standing to the LEFT of the source of the sound,and the speed of the source were increased (say starting at .16 and increasing to .80) what would happen to the observed frequency of the sound? (Increased, decreased, or remain the same?)
